5 Day Art Challenge: Day 2

Day 2 of the Art Challenge.

Today I show a few of my “one off” commissions.

Chadwick Ginther has commissioned me twice to draw images inspired by his novels “Thunder Road” and its sequel “Tombstone Blues” (check them out if you like any of the following: urban fantasy, Norse Mythology, Loki being his usual dick-self (but that’s why we like him), Winnipeg, Flin Flon, Gimli (the town, not the dwarf), and badass story telling. There will probably be a new image tied with the last book in the Thunder Road trilogy, “Too Far Gone” (out later this year).

Next was a commission by a gentleman who wanted some conceptual art for a story he was developing. I haven’t heard if it’s gone further, but is was a mix of robots and genetic manipulation coming into conflict. Here I have the hero laying waste to a horde of robots.

Lastly, someone needed a portrait done for their 1 year anniversary (Paper).

I nominate Emily Baxter to showcase some of her work for 5 days 🙂

See Day 1 here.
