Cover to Cover 3737B Portage Avenue (Winnipeg, MB), Wednesday June 22, 11am-2pm.

To kick off this celebratory comic, I will be joining Tony at Cover to Cover to “hang out”. I’ll be there to reminisce about my early comic collecting days, chat about comics, movies, sci-fi/fantasy, and all things geeky. Anyone that picks up a copy of Marvel Pride, I can sign it, but I’ll also be doing sketches and taking commissions–for virtually anything*; Marvel, DC, Star Wars, Star Trek, fantasy, movies, pop culture, a picture of you and your cat (yes, I did that once).

A portions of Proceeds from any sketches/commissions will be donated to our local LGBTQ+ centre, The Rainbow Resource Centre.

*Artist reserves the right to refuse commissions that are objectionable.

I will also have a selection of graphic novels I’ve done with local publisher HighWater Press. It’s Pride month, but also Indigenous History Month, so I’ll have A Girl Called Echo (about the Métis), Reckoner Rises (Indigenous Superheroes), and possibly a couple others.

Tony was my original LCS back in the 90s when I really got into comics. He’s always had a great selection of new and back issue comics, but also a vast collection of pre-owned books. Times can be tough for Local Comic Stores, so whether you’re into the Marvel or DC Pride books or not, please stop by and check out what Cover to Cover has to offer! I feel that these few hours won’t be enough for me, but I’m looking forward to just “relaxing”, sketching, researching, and being tempted to blow all my money on books or comics.
